Your tasks:

  • Design, test, build, ship and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable object-oriented PHP8 code.
  • Provide and enhance tools to automate processes and ultimately improve our development environment.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • You have the great opportunity to work in an international, cross-functional environment (communicating in English, German is not required).
 

Your skills:

  • Strong object-oriented PHP skills, experience with MVC frameworks (Symfony is a plus).
  • Experience in designing, building, testing and shipping web applications.
  • Automated testing, clean code and code coverage is just as important to you as production code.
  • Exceptional experience with various design and architectural patterns, algorithms, and data structures (experience with microservices is valued).
  • You're into agile methodologies and enjoy working in teams with a focus on sharing knowledge.
  • DevOps mentality and result-oriented experience with MySQL and Linux administration is of advantage.Experience with Elasticsearch/SOLR/Lucene is a plus.
  • Experience developing applications inside virtualized containers like Docker and with Cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

In order to support our growing engineering department, our enablement team is currently looking for a new member. As a backend engineer, you'll contribute to the development of new features for our platform to provide the most useful and trustworthy insights to our users. You'll also have a fundamental role in improving the tech excellency of our microservices architecture.

Due to legal requirements in Austria, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Our salary range for this position starts at 45.000 €. Based on your experience and qualifications, our final offer will be a competitive market value-based salary. We will talk about your real salary in person.
