Your tasks:

  • Being the first point of contact at New Work for security-related questions and incidents

  • Building up and extending our SIEM

  • Creating use cases, rulesets and playbooks for incident response

  • Advising teams during new projects, help them to understand risks, and suggest mitigations.

  • You’ll set up monitoring processes to help us detect attacks.

  • You'll help us manage incidents that could affect security.

  • Working together with a variety of internal teams to resolve incidents

 

Your skills:

  • You’ve received training or a degree in IT, software development or similar, and have several years of security experience.

  • Your analysis is thorough, and your advise is clear, practical, and understandable for people with technical and non-technical background.

  • You’re well-versed in Linux and well connected within the security community.

  • You understand code and ideally have some background in web development or system administration.

  • If you are familiar with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related security configurations and management, that would be a plus.

  • Proven network or application security skills would also be a bonus.

  • Fluency in English is required. Ideally you speak German as well.
